We envision expanding our rural electrification projects to schools, housing, and other public service facilities in several developing nations, predominantly in Southeast Asia and Africa. By solarizing communities, we aim to provide children with the resources they need to excel in school and ascend the ladder of development.
Panels For Progress seeks to nurture long-term partnerships with solar equipment manufacturing companies that have an interest in committing resources and/or time to assisting PFP realize its goals of providing renewable energy to communities in need. Additionally, Panels For Progress is actively engaging with other established nonprofits that could greatly benefit from renewable energy resources for their projects.
Our current partners include:
- First Solar: First Solar manufactures solar modules with an advanced semiconductor technology and provides comprehensive photovoltaic system solutions. From raw material sourcing through end-of-life collection and recycling, First Solar is focused on creating cost-effective, renewable energy solutions that protect and enhance the environment.
- Not For Sale Campaign: Not For Sale creates tools that engage business, government, and grassroots in order to incubate and grow social enterprises to benefit enslaved and vulnerable communities.
- Toledo Community Foundation: The First Solar Corporate Charitable Fund, issued through the nonprofit Toledo Community Foundation, seeks to improve the quality of life in communities around the world. Emphasis is placed on programs that support the First Solar Corporate giving values which include: focusing on “green” education initiatives, access to clean energy and water in underserved areas, and furthering the development of innovative and sustainable technologies.
